BUZZ DU JOUR

posted on: Friday, March 29, 2013

I have just seen this on my Twitter, and I have to say thumbs up Hedi and Saint Laurent! It's so refreshing  seeing propper rock stars fronting brands, and I have to say that Manson for Saint Laurent seems like a more than proper choice.

  5. It's okay. I love Manson and the pic Hedi took is awesome. But this is just all in all a complete bullshit. This has nothing to do with the old chic french fashion house.
PPR I mean KERING forgot one thing, it's not even Saint Laurent Paris but it's Saint Laurent Los Angeles. Why didn't they do a new brand, why had they re-brand a historic name like YSL and make it to a punk-druge-rock-star-teen? :/
I don't see the resamblance between Yves in the 70's and this shit Hedi is doing.
The only thing I like from him are the shoes I'll give him that, they're pretty great.

    1. I kind of both agree and disagree. The sole reason is that if ppl remember, Yves himself was often on a media rollercoaster himself, one day adored and the other hated, and spitted upon. Although Hedi is taking a different approach with the whole PR thing I don't necessarily think that Manson is a bad person to idolize, he is quite intelligent, has something different to say, and to be honest I'll rather buy Manson for SLP than Rihanna, Beyonce or any other popsters. On the other hand he's second collection was a bummer, but yet again I think it was a matter of really terrible styling, not necessarily the bad collection.
It is very exciting to see where this goes, and darn I love a good discussion!

      Love!
