THE BUGSY EFFECT AND TRANSITIONAL CLOTHING

posted on: Monday, September 2, 2013

After my Instagram (ila030), Facebook, Twitter and every other social media went all (good)crazy after just posting a sneak peak of the Bugsy coat I felt I have raised the expectation bar veeeery high.
Anyways, the Bergen weather has once again tricked us all and the temperature dropped to the ridiculous 10-something degrees. And although this is probably a temporary thing- matching coats and sandals, proved to be a good trick to make the summer last longer. At least in my head.
On the other hand who can be sorry for the summer gone when this beautiful thing is hanging in my closet?
The color is even more fantastic than on photos and the oversized cut gives a perfect balance to the bubblegum pink wool.
For all of you in doubt about the pink coat being to girly and cute, I can promise you this one is going to throw you off your feet.Get it before it's gone ;)
I can only applaud to it.

Busgy coat from by Malene Birger, vintage denim shirt (simular here or here) Designers Remix sweater (similar here), Burberry skirt (veerrry old one), TheManual&Co purse, Celine Paris Leopard mules, and watch from Georg Jensen.

Happy Monday peeps

BUGSY COAT

posted on: Sunday, September 1, 2013

So this happened on Friday!! I have been coveting this by Malene Birger coat from the moment I saw it on the catwalk and later on at the showroom in Oslo, and as soon as it hit their online store, well- you catch my drift. Actually just in time, as the temperature has dropped here in Norway, can't wait to show how I styled it tomorrow.

Happy Sunday beautiful!

PRETTY DOES IT

A slightly more feminine outfit than what you are used to seeing me in, but a girl likes to feel simply pretty from time to time. I loved how the loose fitting blouse looks with the textured skirt and easy gold accents here and there. Speaking of accents where are you on mixing different animal patterns in one outfit. For my part it sounded horrendous in theory but as long the pops of pattern are subtile it works for me. It really gives it an unexpected twist. In case you were wondering where on Earth did I get the Balenciaga skirt, well, sales;)
Now I am off to bad after a busy, busy day. Can't wait to show you my last purchase tomorrow, just perfectly spot on the autumn trends(a little hint: it's pink and it comes from by Malene Birger)
Sleep tight!

I am wearing H&M Trend blouse, Balenciaga textured skirt, Celine heels, Angel Jackson purse, Cooee bracelet and Georg Jensen watch.

THE WEEKEND SPILL AND SOME NEW TOYS

posted on: Thursday, August 29, 2013

For a girl who is addicted to nail polish, yet not allowed to use one on the daily basis, the weekend is always like a little holiday. I was thinking of a perfect burgundy color for a long time (you know not to red, but not to purple either-the perfect aubergine I believe it is called)  and it seems like the Chanel lacquer in color Provocation was just spot on. The slatey -lavender lilac YSL was a far more spontanious buy, when I was out for  a little stroll, earlier today. Also these to went unexpectedly well together so I went for the YSL on the feet and Chanel on hands. Loving when nail polish doesn't match on hands and feet.
On the other matter I also bought the very anticipated Chanel creme blush and I have to say it was a Revelation( actually the color I got has the same name) It has the those 3 must that I look for when buying a blush:
The colors are perfectly natural, so they actually resemble fresh, pinched cheeks,
the texture really melts into your skin (no that bad pasty or oily surface as many have), it is in a way velvety and creamy at the same time (say YAY if you have oily skin!!),
AND it stays on for quite some time.
Addicted.

THE PERFECT SHIRT

posted on: Wednesday, August 28, 2013

Enjoying what are probably the last days of summer. Some days ago I got this shirt from FWSS and it has become a major favorite since the day I tried it on at a nearby store. It has the perfect feel of a denim shirt, yet the fantastic slouch of a silk fabric and the cut is that perfect balance between the masculine and feminin we are all looking for in a good shirt. I've used it ridiculously many times since I got it (which is a week or two??) and it goes with literarily everything. Loving the combo with the leather skirt and some simple jewelry as it really accentuates the shirts rawness and a very rock chic feel about it.

I am wearing FWSS silk shirt, eponymous  Elin Kling for Guess leather skirt, Aquazzura Amazone lace ups, Saint Laurent Paris purse, Thomas Sabo earring, Gorg Jensen watch and Maria Black rings.

Have a great day lovely people!

LES ATTITUDES

Photocourtesy of Vogue Paris

The september issues have landed (or at least on Ipad) which in turn means tons and tons of inspiration.  Vogue Paris delivers fantastic editorials as usual, my favorite being a b&w photos of leather and denim combos, delivering right amount of attitude and style.
One word: Hotness.

NEW IN

posted on: Monday, August 26, 2013

A lot outfits lately so I though you might like to see some new pieces from beauty, jewelry and tech department a little more up close. Let's start with the Ipad, now that little thing has been a blessing since living in Norway means waiting outrageously long for magazines to arrive (sometimes I wonder if Siberia gets them before us), so downloading the issues and the possibility of a proper screen shot changed my life. Literally.
The same goes for the body balm by Rudolph care. I have very dry skin, especially the legs, that makes my before-bedtime ritual an obsessive overuse of moisturizer. I have tried everything that is out there, everything, but seriously nothing can't even come near to the body balm. Although it does take some time for skin to soak it in, it really leaves it so soft for very long time.
Furthermore a shirt I bought some days ago from FWSS, it has the amazing fit and feel of a good denim shirt, yet it is made in silk. High five to my girl Nina for the amazing garments!

And last, but not least Maria Black rings...As I said on Instagram I just need 20 more of them ;)
