IRREVERENT

posted on: Monday, December 10, 2012

These cold dull days have been  making me crave for inspiration that seems is nowhere to be found.
However, for days like this I have fashion books stocked up and my latest indulgence is 'Irreverent' by C.R. What always inspires me about her styling is that is one of the things considered evergreen (I picked the word from my mother)-always highly actual, and never a irrelevant.
Browsing through the pages was a constant reminder that although fashion can be a bypassing fling, style remains eternal.
It's actually a constant reminder, that in this age where everyone has a camera and blogs, I want to remain something constant, and not throw away my whole wardrobe next time  fashion direction changes. It has become a certain rule of thumb both when I choose what to wear and when I shop.

NEW IN - WONDERFUL COOEE

posted on: Sunday, December 9, 2012

For my part Christmas has come early,as so many wonderful goodies have been arriving in the mail lately. Among them is great pieces from Cooee jewelry, that I have been craving for quite some time.
I am so thrilled that I have put them on display on my coffeetable as a part of the interior, soundly resting on 'Irreverent'.
I can't wait to show you some outfits wearing them.

FAVOURITE COMBO

posted on: Saturday, December 8, 2012

I am obviously late with the posting as bare legs as something that belongs to the past (or, October/November ), but lately it seems like I am late with everything. It's two weeks until Christmas and we are also veeeery late with Christmas presents and decorating.
But here is my favorite combo lately vintage sweater paired with heavy leather skirt and a touch of pink. I thought that the colors and details work so well together, that this has very quickly climbed on the top-want to wear everyday- list.
P.S My lens is finally back from repair shop, so I will post pics of some things new in, as Cooee jewlery and a pair of Givenchy heels.

I am wearing vintage sweater and jacket, Acne Startlet skirt and Balenciaga heels.

High waisted pants and cropp tops haw been on my mind for quite some time now-actually since Paris. This top from ACNE has to be one of the coolest I have seen so far on the marked, being a perfect piece for either layering or just worn alone.

WHAT IS IN MY PURSE?

posted on: Wednesday, December 5, 2012

So, I was working on a project for Costume Norway and one of the questions was what is in my purse. Now, I only use small crossbody / over the shoulder purses as this limits the amount of things I can stuff in it (this rule due to bad experience on while shooting and having an enormous bag+ camera=lots of unnecessary weight and heavy lifting).
I think all the women are the sae -the bigger the bag-the more stuff you come up that you can carry with you.
Anyway, here is my sartorial everyday purse content:
1.card holder from Smythson
2. Moleskin notebook and a calendar
3.my phone
4.keys to home and work
5.Sunnies (you will probably see me more often wearing sunnies than umbrella)usually Ray Ban or Illestava
6.Handcream
7.Lipcream

ON TEXTURES AND NINJAS

posted on: Tuesday, December 4, 2012

So, I am again in all black.
However, a key to all black outfit is layering the different textures, which kind of works more than well with the freezing temperatures we have had here.
I have layered a fine knit with intricate sleeves, with jeans and pleather OTK boots. The  thing about all of this is that I am not freezing and at -10C it can almost sound impossible.
ANYWAY, I am also channeling a trend that I am big fan -and as the title revels  it's all about ninja and orient for my part. Orient is such a vast place of inspiration, from something as delicate as silk and handweaved brocade to the hardness of samurai armor and ninja art.And lately all aspect of the eastern culture have been intertwining with the fashion world, creating a certain uniqueness.
I am more than eager see the trend evolve.

P.S. What is your favorite trend for the season?

I am wearing Alexander Wang black sweater, Diesel jeans, Stella Mccartney OTK boots, H&M Trend coat and beanie is from H&M men,the bag is Manual.
