TODAY'S

posted on: Thursday, October 11, 2012

Beautiful weather today inspired me to defy the fact that the grey autumn has already kicked in and go for pastel hues.Or rather, I really wanted to wear pink/burgundy/blue color-combo and just needed the excuse to wear pastels again, after being really tired of last season's  pastel-mania.
So here it is, perfect pastel combo for the chillier days.
I really love how burgundy and blue work together, really a great pallet for the brighter days.

Have a great day everyone!

Jacket is vintage, bought on ebay. Shirt is ACNE- again men's department( I believe that the model is called Isherwood, really a great shirt and a great fit, have to buy it for Ch in dark navy too), jeans are JBrand, bag is Tosca Blu and the shoes -which are not properly pictured -courtesy of my flat battery, are from Balenciaga.

In the blue corner today.  Acrylic armcandy from COOEE and mascara from YSL. I just might get them both!

PLAID AND CHECKED

Ok, tartan, plaid or checked if you wish it. has really never looked so freakin' cool as it has on a Dries van Noten girls during PFW in September. It's Kurt Cobain going lux, yet keeping that rock attitude.
What I love about them is that the shirts have kept that menswear silhouette although cropped to womens sizing. So what I will be coveting are these shirt, and hopefully sooner than ss.
(Here is where Moda Operandi gets in the picture;)

MAISON MARTIN MARGIEL FOR H&M

Clothes aside, Sam Taylor-Johnson has really done an absolutely brilliant job regarding the photos! The photos are I-am-without-words!
I love the fact that although this is somewhat commercialized version of Maison Margiela, the garments seem to catch all his spirit and attention to cut and silhouette.
The garments won't be available until November, however I am already writing a list of all the things I crave for from this utterly divine and seems-it-will-be very coveted collaboration.
I seriously can't wait to see more!
P.S I always wanted a to be able to go out wrapped up in duvet, now I finnaly can- without looking lika a complete dork...

TIME FOR KNITS

Whoop, whoop fall is here and there isn't much to do than to surrender to all those beautiful knits that have arrived in the stores. My newest darling is from Isabel Marant Etoile and due to my petite hight it can also be worn as a dress.
I am loving the fact that the sleeves are slightly shorter then they should be and voluminouse halfway through, it really gives the knit a special flare. My olive green obsession hasn't declined -obviously- and I really loved how cool it looks paired with leaopard print.
I should probably have more of both in my closet...

I am wearing skirt by Givenchy, Isabel Marant pumps and by Malene Birger purse.

Have a lovely day everyone!

3.1 PHILLIP LIM FURRY LOVE

posted on: Saturday, October 6, 2012

My new sweater is not only looking like a cool fluffy monster, it is fabulously warm as well. No, seriously  I think that every person I showed it to rolled they eyes couple of times, yet nobody could believe how cool the thing looked on.
Evenings were slightly chilly in Paris so this furry beauty has come more than handy.
Although I have initially paired it with silver skirt as you can see at  Fashionologie I went for a more Parisiene inspired outfit later in the evening, with high-waist jeans and a pair of clasic pumps.
Here at the Galliano show (or rather at the end of it)on the docks with the last rays of sun still reaching some parts of Paris.

I am wearing 3.1 Phillip Lim sweater , Acne jeans (men's department), Zara heels, Ray Ban's and by Malene Birger purse.

Love,

Irina
